John Croker

John Croker is Clermiston’s manufacturing, operations and technology specialist. A number of John's successful projects have included process based understanding of management systems and design of appropriate measurements that drive performance improvement.

 John also has expertise in strategic issues in technology based organisations and his experience includes writing business and marketing plans as well as setting up financial projections to assist in the future planning of a venture.

John’s particular skills are the solving of major organisational problems, and in strategy setting: reasoning from a high level corporate need through an organisational structure right down to individual, aligned action plans and KPI's.

John’s most recent corporate position was General Manager – Technology of Asia Pacific Specialty Chemicals, based in Sydney. John led APS through a technology sponsored growth phase and also oversaw significant gains in internal process effectiveness through an organisation wide operational excellence project.

Prior to joining APS John had worked for 13 years for Dow Corning in engineering management, manufacturing and project management capacities. This included a number of factory construction projects in Asia and Australia. John started his career at CSR in manufacturing and process development management.

John has consulted for a range of industries including manufacturers, project engineering companies, telecommunications and computational software.

John holds a Master of Management in Technology Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and degrees in Chemical Engineering and Food Technology from the University of NSW.

John is involved with a number of other organisations, including Sydney University's Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering.
